Quayle Breakfast to Benefit Local Students

HUNTINGTON, IN June 11, 1997 -- The Huntington College Foundation will sponsor a Centennial Breakfast with Dan Quayle on Wednesday, July 16 to benefit local students. Proceeds from the breakfast will underwrite scholarships for Huntington County students enrolling at Huntington College.

A VIP reception will precede the breakfast. Guests will be able to personally greet the former vice president and have a complimentary photo taken with him.

Breakfast lines open at 7:15 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The VIP reception will begin at 7:45. The breakfast program will begin at 8:15. A book signing will follow the breakfast at 9:00. Tours of Huntington's Dan Quayle Center and Museum, the nation's only vice-presidential museum, will be available via shuttle bus at 9:30 a.m.

General seating tickets for the breakfast cost $30 each. Tickets for the breakfast plus VIP reception are $100 each. Tickets are available from any member of the Huntington College Foundation board of directors, from the Dan Quayle Center and Museum, or from Kay Schwob, director of community relations at Huntington College. "In recognition of the Quayles' many contributions to Huntington College and the Huntington community, proceeds from this breakfast will be used to endow the Dan and Marilyn Quayle Centennial Fund at Huntington College," explained Mrs. Schwob. "The endowment will provide scholarships for deserving Huntington County students who attend Huntington College."
