Huntington, Ind. "Dr. Dave Rahn, professor of educational ministries and director of the Link Institute at Huntington College and vice president for Youth for Christ/USA Ministries, was recently interviewed by Mike Potter of Parenting Teenagers regarding his social science research and how that research can influence parenting teens. Rahn also presented a workshop on Saturday, February 1, for the Central Indiana Christian Educator's Fellowship in Indianapolis. He presented three topics in his workshop including, Avoiding No Man's Land: The Only Two Choices for a Macro-Vision of Youth Ministry; One Life at a Time: A Micro-Vision of Spiritual Formation for Young People; and Ministry Assessment as Spiritual Discipline. These topics helped participants make decisions on how to conduct youth outreach. They also helped youth ministers understand and practice spiritual formation and focus on the potential to improve their own faithfulness and fruitfulness through ministry assessment.
Rahn joined the faculty of Huntington College in 1985. He completed his bachelor's degree at Huntington College, his master's degree at Wheaton College, and his doctorate degree at Purdue University. Before coming to Huntington, he worked with Youth for Christ for 13 years.
