Robert E. Wilson Gallery presents Alan Kwok

Huntington, Ind. " The Robert E. Wilson Gallery of the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington College is pleased to present Product of Time: Recent Works in Ceramics and Textile by Alan Kwok from October 10 - November 6. Admission is free and the gallery is open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and before all Merillat Centre performances.

An artist's reception and gallery talk will be offered Saturday, October 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Kwok in an Assistant Professor of Art at Indiana Wesleyan University where he teaches courses in ceramics, sculpture, three-dimensional design, weaving and art appreciation. Kwok also leads students on overseas trips to study art history as well as being in charge of the university galleries and permanent collections. He earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in ceramics and ceramic sculpture from the School of American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology, N.Y., and his Bachelor of Arts degree in art and sociology from Houghton College, N.Y.

The work assembled for this exhibition is the culmination of my effort to build confidence in myself and to put my work out for the public to judge, said Kwok. I have been reluctant for a number of reasons the last few years, only making a few occasional works to appear at different exhibitions.
