The Miracles to perform at Huntington College

Huntington, Ind. " The Miracles choir of The Baddour Center in Senatobia, Miss., will perform at Huntington College on November 8, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. in the Longaker Recital Hall.

Twenty-three members compose the choir that performs in four-part harmony. The Baddour Center is a residential community for 180 adults with mild and moderate mental retardation. The purpose of The Miracles is to witness to God's abundant love and to demonstrate the potential of people with mental retardation.

The Miracles travel over 15,000 miles and perform 80 concerts each year, including performances at The White House, The Kennedy Center, Disney World, and others.

Faith Ury, a member since 1993, said of her chance to serve God, I'm not the best singer in the group, but Jesus is the reason I sing. He means more to me than I can say.
