Three pianists, two vocalists to perform in Longaker Honors Recital

Huntington, Ind. "The annual Longaker Honors Recital at Huntington College will showcase five of the College's top musicians on Friday, February 18, 2005. The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m., in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Each musician was chosen in a rigorous audition process. The performance includes three pianists and two vocalists. Individuals set to perform include:

Jolene Gipe, a junior music performance major from Columbia City, Ind. She will perform Estampes Jardins sous la plui by Claude DeBussy on the piano.
Kendra Nelson, a senior English education major from Fort Wayne, Ind. As a soprano, she will sing Five Poems of Walt Whitman by Ned Rorem.
Leah Coon, a senior English education major from Sand Creek, Mich. She will perform Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 23 by Fre'de'ric Chopin on piano.
Annie Feldpausch, a freshman from St. Johns, Mich. She will perform Etude in A-flat Major, Op. 25, No. 1 by Fre'de'ric Chopin on piano.
Jennifer MacDonald, a junior choral education major from Huntington, Ind. As a mezzo soprano, she will sing Four Songs, Op. 14 by Roger Quilter.
