Trio wins natural, mathematical sciences scholarship

Huntington, Ind.-Natalie Brown, Brandon Gray and Kelsey Green, incoming freshmen, will receive the Huntington University Natural and Mathematical Sciences Scholarship.

Natalie Brown, of Kendallville, Ind., will graduate from East Noble High School on June 1. She plans to attend Huntington University to study pre-med in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. She is the daughter of Duane and Diana Lynne Brown.

Brandon Gray, of North Manchester, Ind., will graduate from Manchester High School on June 6. He plans to attend Huntington University to study computer science and is the grandson of Mary Gray.

Kelsey Green, of Van Buren, Ind., will graduate from Eastbrook High School on May 30. She plans to attend Huntington University to study secondary math education and is the daughter of Scott and Bridget Green.

To be eligible for the Natural and Mathematical Sciences Scholarship, a prospective student must file an application for admission and attend a visit day at Huntington University. The selection committee considers SAT or ACT scores, high school grade point average and high school courses completed. A student chosen as a scholarship recipient must major in biology, chemistry, computer science or mathematics and maintain a cumulative Huntington University grade point average of at least 3.0.

Scholarships of $2,500 are available for two incoming students majoring in biology, chemistry, computer science or mathematics. The scholarships are renewable for up to four years.
