“‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ to celebrate season

Huntington, Ind.-Music to inspire the spirit of Christmas will be performed by four ensembles from the Huntington University Department of Music. They will present an evening of Christmas music in a shared concert titled "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." The Wind Ensemble with Mr. Scott Hippensteel, director, will perform a variety of familiar Christmas songs including "Sleigh Ride," "Midnight In Bethlehem," "Adeste Fidelis" and an arrangement with narration of the famous poem by Clement Moore that begins "'Twas the night before Christmas..."
The Brass Ensemble with Dr. Robert Lynn, director, will perform a Christmas sing-a-long, "A Spiritual Christmas" and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus." The Women's Chorale with Mrs. Joni Killian, director, will perform "Glorificamus Te," "Mary's Song of Praise," "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Pastores de Belen." The Handbell Choir with Mrs. Darlene Burkett, director, will perform "Angels We Have Heard On High," "A Bell Carol Fantasy" and "O Come O Come Emmanuel."
Don't let this busy holiday season rush past without experiencing the hope and peace of all mankind in "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." The music will start at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the Merillat Centre for the Arts' Zurcher Auditorium.
