Venture Works offers business planning workshops

Huntington, Ind.-Venture Works, a resource center for entrepreneurs, will host a series of business planning workshops at Huntington University. These free sessions will be open to the public and are recommended for all participants in the inaugural Huntington County Business Plan Competition. Each workshop session will be held twice to allow for conflicts in schedules. Workshops will be held at Huntington University, Loew Building, lower level, room 065. Pizza will be provided. The following is the schedule for the workshops:
Feb. 27 or March 7, 5:30-9 p.m.
Boot Camp I: Business Plan Basics / Investigating the Market Needs
(5:30-7 p.m.)
Boot Camp II: Creating a Winning Business Plan
(7:15-9 p.m.) Delivering w/ Confidence and Creditability
March 6 or March 14, 6-9 p.m.
Marketing Your Business and Sleuthing the Internet (Research)
March 13 or March 21, 6-9 p.m.
Business Plan Financials and Capital Sourcing Options
Preparing Your Final Investor Presentation
April 9
Registration for the Huntington County Business Plan Competition ends.
Three- to five-page summary submitted to be reviewed by the judges for initial evaluation and screening.
