Women’s auxiliary to present ‘Ministry of Mime’

Huntington, Ind.-The Huntington University Women's Auxiliary spring semester breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. on April 14 at the Habecker Dining Commons. "The Ministry of Mime" will feature Kristie Worfel, adjunct professor at Huntington University. Worfel, a mime artist, has studied under master teachers Marcel Marceau, Tony Montanaro, Todd and Marilyn Farley, and Stefan Niedzialkowski. She has performed and taught mime for Master Arts Company in Grand Rapids, Mich., formed and directed King's Court, Christ's Shadow and Visible Proof mime troupes, written and directed two plays, and performed in community theatre.
She has taught workshops and performed in schools, churches, prisons, conferences, and conventions, bringing public awareness to the art of mime at all age levels. She has performed for private organizations, corporate dinners, banquets, and benefits. Worfel also teaches classes at day camps and college level, and has prepared teams for the mission field, where mime is an effective tool without language barrier. Her work has taken her to Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Rochester New York, Ecuador, France and Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and is currently working on a master's degree as she introduces mime to students in Indiana.
Music will be presented by Brian Rayle, tenor soloist, and Antoinette Feldpausch on piano. Rayle is a senior elementary education major from Auburn, Ind., and Feldpausch is junior economics and finance major from St. Johns, Mich.
