Youth for Christ president to address foundation

Huntington, Ind.-Dan Wolgemuth, president of Youth for Christ/USA, will present "A Letter to the Exiles" at the annual Huntington University Foundation Dinner. The event is set for Oct. 9 with a 5:30 p.m. reception and 6 p.m. dinner upstairs in the Habecker Dining Commons. The event is open to the public. The cost of the foundation dinner program is $25 per person. Tables of eight may be reserved for $160. To make reservations, contact Melissa Cole at (260) 359-4069. Dan Wolgemuth assumed the position of president/CEO of Youth for Christ/USA on April 1, 2005.
He was raised in Wheaton, Ill., and is a graduate of Taylor University with a major in business administration/systems. He also completed an investment management course at Fellow Life Management Institute and a manager development course at General Electric.
Wolgemuth has a long and rich history with Youth for Christ. He has served on the National Board of Trustees from 1995 to present. He was a local board member of Nashville YFC from 1988-1990 and served two years as their chairman. He was also an associate staff/club director at Fort Wayne Area YFC from 1977-1987.
Prior to joining Youth for Christ, Wolgemuth was senior vice president and chief information officer for HNTB Companies, Kansas City, Mo., a prominent national engineering and architectural consulting firm. He also served as vice president and chief information officer at General Electric, Overland Park, Kan., for seven years.
Wolgemuth was an elder and teacher at his church in Kansas and is a member of Colorado Community Church in Denver.
He was elected to the Board of Trustees of Taylor University in 2006. In addition, he has written extensively, including a book published in 2000 titled "The Monday Memo.Com."
Dan and his wife Mary have three children: Andrew and Chrissy, married in 2003 and living in Orlando, Fla.; Erik, a graduate of Taylor University, living in Orlando, Fla.; and Alli, a junior at Taylor University.
