Join us at Huntington University for an enriching continuing education experience designed specifically for clinical mental health supervisors. Effective clinical supervision can be transformed from simply reviewing cases and signing hours to an impactful experience for supervisees, supervisor, and clients. This symposium event equips supervisors with relevant models and strategies for effective practice. In addition, supervisors will have the opportunity to build networks and share best practices during round-table discussions. Participants will leave with a practical toolkit, such as model supervision agreement for working with counseling interns.

Objectives:

  1. Apply at least two evidence-informed clinical supervision models and strategies to realistic supervision scenarios to improve supervisee development and client care outcomes.
  2. Analyze and evaluate supervision practices by comparing current supervisory approaches with best-practice frameworks discussed in the symposium, identifying specific areas for improvement in structure, feedback, and ethical oversight.
  3. Develop practical supervision toolkit, including a customized supervision agreement and at least three implementation strategies, designed for immediate use with counseling interns and early-career clinicians.
