Connecting to WiFi

Computer, Tablet, Phone – Use the HU_Secure wireless network, login with your HU account information
Game Consoles, SmartTVs, etc. – Use the HU_Devices wireless network. You will need to enroll your device’s MAC address at http://devices.huntington.edu before they will be permitted access to the internet.

Copying / Printing / Scanning

Moodle

Moodle is Huntington University’s Learning Management System (LMS). Students can find links directly to their Moodle courses by going to the HU Portal (https://my.huntington.edu ) and logging in with their HU username and HU password.

There is a learner orientation course to Moodle that will expose students to various features that they will encounter during their use of Moodle. A link to this orientation course is provided below:

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint

You can download Microsoft Office by logging in to https://portal.office.com/account/#installs with your huntington.edu email address and password, then click Install Apps located in the upper right corner of the screen.
To activate your copy of Microsoft Office, you will need to sign in with your HU email address and password the first time you launch the application.

Adobe Creative Cloud – After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, etc.

Adobe Creative Cloud can be purchased at a substantial discount of $60 per semester at the link below if you wish to use it on your personal device at: https://huforms.formstack.com/forms/adobe_creative_cloud. Creative Cloud is available to all students to use in the labs throughout campus.

Zoom – Audio and Video Conferencing

Your instructor will provide you with a Zoom link within your Moodle course.
When you click on the link, you will be given the option to either run Zoom from within your browser or to download the desktop client.
If you choose to sign into the Zoom desktop client, you will need to choose the Sign in with SSO option and enter Huntington as the Company Domain.

Antivirus

Huntington University requires all students to have an antivirus installed on their computer before connecting to the network. If you already have an antivirus, you may continue to use it. If you need one, please contact the Help Desk for access to Sophos Antivirus.
