Alpha Chi Honor Society names Wood Benedict Fellow

Huntington, Ind. "Huntington University's Nate Wood, a senior Bible and religion major from Martinsville, Ind., has been named a Benedict Fellow by the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.

Wood has been awarded a $2,500 fellowship for use in his first year of graduate study. Nominated by his local chapter at Huntington University, Wood presented his paper, But I Say Unto You: The Sermon on the Mount and the Problem of Cyclical Violence, as a part of his fellowship application.

Wood was one of nine recipients nationwide of this prestigious award. Alpha Chi has active chapters at some 300 institutions in almost every state and in Puerto Rico. Inducting no more than the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors in all academic fields, the society registers more than 11,000 new members each year.
