Alpha Chi honors six students with award

Huntington, Ind.-The Indiana Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi National Scholarship Honor Society presented six Huntington University students with the 2010 Alpha Chi Honor Award on May 2.

The recipients are:

Shelly Bradbury, a journalism major, from Houghton, N.Y.

Luke Brenneman, a sociology major, from Spencerville, Ohio.

Katie Eder, a film production major, from Onsted, Mich.

Brittany Sommers, a psychology major, from Macedonia, Ohio.

Megan Verhasselt, a math education major, from Bartlett, Ill.

Ellen Wolf, an elementary education major, from Huntington, Ind.

The award recognizes the top students who entered Huntington in fall 2008. It is based strictly on academic achievement. The students were recognized at a reception hosted by university President G. Blair Dowden.

The Indiana Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi at Huntington University is one of the top 10 chapters nationally of Alpha Chi's some 300 chapters and was national chapter of the year in 2001.
