FOR RELEASE: Monday, March 1, 2004
Huntington, Ind. " Mrs. Denise Brauchla and Dr. Lance Clark recently received the Huntington College Peer Award, a traveling campus award that promotes acknowledgment and recognition of the outstanding efforts of faculty and staff members. Brauchla and Clark received the awards from February's recipients, Professor David McEowen and Jerry White, respectively. Lance Clark and Jerry White
Clark, assistant professor of communication, joined the Huntington College faculty in 1993.
I consider myself lucky to have Lance as a colleague as well as a friend, said Jerry White, controller and director of financial services at Huntington College. He sets a great example of Christian stewardship in the workplace.
Brauchla, Learning Center Secretary and Faculty Secretary for Loew-Brenn, has been working at the College for 27 years.
David McEowen and Denise Brauchla
Denise is an outstanding role model of someone who provides joy and help to others through her service, attitude and personality, said McEowen, assistant professor of business. I have selected Denise as the next recipient of the Peer Award because her 'behind-the-scene' assistance and support helps many of us to be more effective and efficient in our own jobs.
Next month, Brauchla and Clark will pass the Peer Award on to two fellow colleagues of their choice. For more information on the Peer Award, please visit www.huntington.edu/peeraward/.
