HC Auxiliary Announces Fall Breakfast Program
FOR RELEASE: Monday, September 11, 2000
HUNTINGTON, IN--The Huntington College Auxiliary will hold its Fall 2000 Breakfast Saturday, September 23, at 9 a.m., in the Habecker Dining Commons. Community women are invited to hear Cynthia Wartzok, artistic director of the Pulse Opera House in Warren, Ind., who will present a program about the Pulse Opera House, its history, current projects and the cast's recent trip to Germany with the show "Dames at Sea." Cynthia Wartzok is the founder and the driving force behind the Pulse Opera House for the past fourteen years. Cynthia, along with her husband Ron, have developed the Pulse from an empty building with a rich history from the late 1800's to becoming an award winning theatre that was chosen this past summer to represent the United States at the International Festival of Musical Theatre in Stuttgart, Germany. She has directed theater throughout Indiana for more than 15 years and has many interesting stories. She has also been costumer for the Fort Wayne Ballet and taught acting. She also works full time as Executive Director of the Northeast Indiana Radio Reading Service in Fort Wayne.
The cost of the breakfast will be $5.50. Please call to make reservations by Wednesday, Sept. 20, to Shirley Cox (356-1560) or Sharon Custer (359-4160) or Ruth Weber (356-0255).
The Huntington College Auxiliary has been a part of the life of Huntington College since 1903 and is always involved in several projects to benefit the students. The current project involves new and refinished furnishings in the Baker Hall lounges. A short business meeting will be held.
