HC sends team to Brazil for spring break

Huntington, Ind. "A team of Huntington College staff and students will serve in Brazil for the upcoming spring break, March 15-19, 2004.

HC staff and students will minister to youth at a camp in Iguaca Falls, Brazil. The team will teach sports, lead worship through music and drama, make crafts and engage in one-on-one conversations.

Brazilian youth look to American youth as a reference for behavior, and we want to be an example of God's power to transform lives, said Nicole Fain, staff leader of the trip and associate director of campus ministries at Huntington College.

Students serving include:

- Audrey Ammon, a senior history major from Fort Wayne, Ind.

- Jayma Carr, a junior elementary education major from Muncie, Ind.

- Marissa Chittick, a junior music major from Indianapolis, Ind.

- Brittany Conner, a freshman visual arts major from Carmel, Ind.

- Leslie Deter, a senior elementary education major from Bluffton, Ohio.

- Jared Gleason, a sophomore public relations major from Bluffton, Ohio.

- Caleb Porter, a sophomore visual arts major from Blissfield, Mich.

- Dana Siferd, a senior youth ministries major from McComb, Ohio.

- Jordan Smith, a sophomore youth ministries major from Huntington, Ind.

- Craig Summers, a sophomore youth ministries major from Huntington, Ind.

Bill Fisher, dean of Christian faith and life at Huntington College, and Jodi Fiedler, secretary of campus ministries at Huntington College, will also serve during the mission trip.
