HC students plunge into urban Chicago volunteer work

HUNTINGTON, IN " Several Huntington College students will take part on an urban plunge November 8 " 10, at Circle Urban Ministries in Chicago. The plunge will allow students to experience and understand urban life while providing the ministry with volunteer work. Circle Urban Ministries is a program that strives to meet the needs of urban life for those in the area. To assist with the ministry, they offer a school and a church in their building. Huntington College students will do maintenance work to help with the upkeep and operation of the facility over the weekend. They will work all afternoon Saturday and have a chance to tour Chicago on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, the HC students will attend the church service and be able to interact with the individuals who are involved with the ministry outreach.
