Huntington University launches Spring Phonathon

HUNTINGTON, Ind.- More than 90 percent of Huntington University students receive some sort of financial aid whether that is through scholarships, grants, work study or loans. With recent cuts of nearly 40 percent to some government-provided financial aid programs, direct giving to the university is more important than even in making a Christ-centered education affordable to students.

On Feb. 14, the Spring Phonathon will kick off and run through March 2. The Phonathon is a fundraising effort to raise money for the University Fund which provides scholarships for current and future students. During this time, students will be calling friends and families of the university to share their experiences on campus and the impact that a Christ-centered education has had on their lives while asking for support.

"Making a gift to the Spring Phonathon directly benefits students - many of whom are able to attend Huntington due to the generosity of our alumni and friends," said Troy Irick, vice president for advancement. "Donor-provided scholarships helps make a Christ-centered Huntington education more affordable and affordable to more."

The goal for the Spring Phonathon is to raise $80,000.
