Huntington University welcomes 17 new staff members

| Huntington, Ind.- Huntington University welcomed new staff members for the start of the new semester. Scott Berry joins the university as its controller/director of financial services. Berry had previously worked at AON Corporation as the assistant vice president for fiduciary accounting and also at Lincoln National Corporation in Fort Wayne. Meredith Baltz joins the university as the student activities board director. She is currently a graduate student at Taylor University. Kahle Bryant is the new resident director for Hardy Hall. She is currently agraduate student at Taylor University. Yikhwan Dillard is the new resident director for Meadows and Miller halls. He is currently a graduate student at Taylor University. Kelly Lynch joins the university as the new equipment cage and studio supervisor for the digital media arts program. He is an accomplished independent filmmaker from Spencerville, Ind. He has worked with Apple and NBC/Universal. Danielle Miller and Andrew Vaught were welcomed to campus as the two new admissions counselors. Miller is a 2010 graduate of HU. Vaught is a 2006 graduate of HU, and he also holds a master's degree in student affairs administration in higher education from Ball State University. He previously worked as the director of middle school and college ministries at College Park Church in Huntington. John O'Rourke is the new radio and television supervisor. He previously was the director/owner of Discovery Broadcasting Academy and was the morning show co-host and director of marketing and promotions for STAR 88.3. He was also the morning show host and program director for WMEE 97.3. Chad Ralston joins the staff as a maintenance technician/electrician. He previously worked at Votaw Electric as an electrician. Lynne Razor is the new secretary for student development. She attended Huntington College from 1976 to 1979 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian ministries from Liberty Theological Seminary in 2000. She was amissionary with WorldGospel Outreach in Honduras for nine years. Logan Skinner is the new coordinator of tutoring and commuter services. He currently is a graduate student at Taylor University. The EXCEL Adult Degree Program also hired three new people this year: Tonya Horvath, admissions counselor; Cheryl Ihnen, curriculum assistant; and Terry L. Miller, online programs admissions counselor. Horvath was previously theleadmedicalassistant and office supervisor for the Parkview Center for Integrative Medicine in Fort Wayne. Ihnen previously worked as an adjunctprofessor at Ivy Tech Community College and Ancilla College. Miller has a Bachelor ofScience degree from the EXCEL program and also works as a real estate agent. The new school year also welcomes other new staff employees hired during the previous school year: Dennis Crum, head volleyball coach;Valerie Geer, associate director of the Institute for TESOL Studies; and Ashley Smith, assistant director for media relations.
