Joe Mertz Center to host February blood drive

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Huntington University's Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 8 in the upper level of the Habecker Dining Commons.

The Joe Mertz Center hosts four blood drives each year in conjunction with the American Red Cross.

Individuals who are interested in donating blood may register online at www.givelife.org or in person in the dining commons at Huntington University. Walk-ins are also acceptable, but everyone participating must have a photo ID. The blood drive is open to the public.

The JMC is also asking for volunteers to help on the day of the drive.

HU's Joe Mertz Center is a student-directed organization that mobilizes the campus community for Christian service. The Joe Mertz Center involves students in the local community, instills a lifelong tendency toward service and promotes the idea that one person can make a difference.
