Jones to present next Forester Lecture

Huntington, Ind. "Dr. Nancy L. Jones, Associate Professor of Pathology at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., will present the next Forester Lecture at Huntington College. The presentation will take place on Monday, November 25, at 7 p.m. in the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Admission is free and the lecture is open to the public.

No one can search too far or be too well-studied in the book of God's word or in the book of God's works, said the 17th century scholar Francis Bacon. Explore the connections between the life of faith and career in science with Dr. Jones' Forester Lecture. Jones will explore the questions and issues of cloning including:

- What are scientists proposing to do with genetic manipulation technology?

- Is there a moral difference between 'therapeutic' and reproductive cloning?

- Cloning is a reflection of a new era where humans can exercise greater biological control over life. Is this a door to nirvana or a brave new world?

- What guidance can Christianity offer as our society approaches this new post-human era?
