Lecture planned on faith and society
HUNTINGTON, IN -- Dr. Jeff Myers, professor of communication at Bryan College (TN), will present the next public address in the Forester Lecture Series at Huntington College. Myers' lecture, Communicating a Christian Worldview to a Postmodern Society, will begin at 8 p.m. on April 6 in the upper level banquet rooms of the Habecker Dining Commons.
Dr. Myers has been a dynamic pioneer in student leadership development. A featured speaker for more than a decade, he has addressed thousands of students and groups across the country. Myers is an author of numerous books on communication and Christian worldview issues. He developed a curriculum, Understanding the Times, for Summit Ministries (CO) that has been used in hundreds of schools and churches since 1991. Christian recording artist Billy Sprague says of Dr. Myers, Jeff is a keen and humorous observer of society and is gifted in these weird times with the wit and wisdom to help equip the saints and woo the skeptics.
In addition to his evening lecture, Myers will present a workshop for homeschool teachers from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. The workshop will focus on his curriculum, Understanding the Times. The workshop will be held in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, room 150.
