Tana Fortney passed the Peer Award to Beth Dubois. Dubois is the Assistant Registrar and has worked at the University for 13 years.
In presenting the award to Dubois, Fortney said, Beth is a very caring and giving individual. This is evident in her willingness to assist students as well as colleagues, not only on the job but also off campus. Beth truly demonstrates the love of Christ through her desire to serve others on a regular basis. She is always willing to go the extra mile in a pleasant manner. I count it an honor and privilege to pass along this award to a very well-deserving co-worker and friend.
Cindy Steury passed the Peer Award to Jule McKanna. McKanna is currently a Visiting Instructor in Exercise Science and has worked at the University for six years.
In recognizing McKanna, Steury said, Jule is quite likely the most versatile person on campus. She is the Director of the MindScape Program, an instructor of exercise science, a tennis instructor, and an adjunct in the education department. Her initiative on using Thornhill to give teaching experience to pre-service teachers is greatly appreciated by education students and faculty alike. I admire Jule's servant heart and her willingness to do her best in a variety of assignments. Jule invests generously in the lives of students modeling Christ's love and encouraging their growth. She leads student trips and uses them as an opportunity to influence lives for Christ. Thank you, Jule, for being a positive example of diligence and commitment. I appreciate you.
