Patrick and Amy Fata to perform at Foundation breakfast

Huntington, Ind. " The next breakfast meeting of the Huntington College Foundation will take place on Wednesday, December 13, in the Habecker Dining Commons. 1996 graduates Patrick and Amy Fata will perform a concert of Christmas classics as well as original works from their first album, We Worship You As Never Before. The public is cordially invited to attend. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. The program will conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6 per person. First-time guests are not charged.
Patrick Fata began his piano studies at the age of nine in Paris, France. He graduated from the Conservatoire National de Region de Rueil-Malmaison with degrees in Piano and Solfege. Although he came to the United States to study medicine, he soon changed his focus to piano. As a student at Huntington College, Patrick had the opportunity to work with many outstanding performers, including Jerome Rose, Mitchell Andrew, Jodie DiSalvo, Richard Glazier, Paul Barnes, and Tamara Orlowsky. He is the winner of several competitions, including the 1992 Society of American Musicians Competition in Elmhurst, Illinois, the 1995 MTNA Indiana Collegiate Competition, and the 1997 Jordan College of Fine Arts Concerto Competition at Butler University. Patrick continues to participate in music competitions and teaches piano privately in his home in Noblesville, Indiana.
Patrick met his wife Amy (nee Branson) at Huntington College. A native of Hillsdale, Michigan, Amy graduated from Huntington College in 1996 with a degree in choral music education. She was honored to receive an Outstanding Future Educator award for the state of Indiana. Before joining Patrick, Amy had performed regularly as a vocal soloist at churches, retreat centers, and community or school-based functions. As newlyweds, the Fatas together pursued graduate degrees in music performance at Butler University in Indianapolis. Amy now teaches high school choir in Noblesville, Indiana.
