Professor to discuss visual instruction in Forester Lecture

HUNTINGTON, Ind. During the November Forester Lecture at Huntington University, Prof. Kim Erwin will discuss "Visually Stimulating Instruction" in business and education. The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

Focusing on how visual inputs can help or bury various endeavors, she will discuss the use of this design in business and education.

Erwin is an assistant professor at IIT Institute of Design with research interests in making complex information easier to understand and use. Her book, "Communicating the New: How to Make the Complex, Unfamiliar or Still-Fuzzy Understandable to Others," will be published in the summer of 2013.

The Forester Lecture Series is designed to bring interesting individuals and topics to the attention of students and the regional community. The lecture is free and open to the public.
