Schleiffer, Woods receive February Peer Award

Huntington, Ind. "The Huntington College Peer Award has been passed on to two individuals for the month of February. January's recipients, Dr. Chaney Bergdall and Mrs. Sharon Custer, passed their awards along to Dr. Marlene Schleiffer and Mrs. Sharon Woods, respectively. The Peer Award was created to promote acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts of faculty and staff members. Bergdall, professor of Bible and Religion, passed his award along to Scheiffer, professor of music. Schleiffer is in her 31st year of service at the College. Upon passing the award, Bergdall stated, " Dr. Schleiffer has unselfishly served the interests of Huntington College for many years. She demonstrates faithfulness to Christ, to the College, to her colleagues, and to her students. She gives individual attention wherever it is needed and generously encourages and affirms her students and others interested in developing musically.
Mrs. Sharon Custer presents the February Peer Award to Mrs. Sharon Woods.
Custer, assistant director of EXCEL and assistant to the registrar, passed her award along to Woods, director of financial aid. Woods has served the institution for 17 years. Upon passing the award, Custer commented, " I have come to appreciate Sharon in her work with financial aid as it relates to our EXCEL students. She is always very helpful and works to benefit our students. Her contacts with our students have been professional and caring.
