Steury, Boothman recognized as November Peer Award recipients

Huntington, Ind. - The Huntington University Peer Award recipients for November were Dr. Cindy Steury, assistant dean for faculty development and professor of education, and Jason Boothman, arts computer classroom/lab manager.

The Peer Award, which began in 2003, promotes acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts of Huntington University faculty and staff members. Award winners are chosen and recognized each month by fellow peers.

Steury was recognized by Scott Raymond, executive director of student success, who said that Steury has a strong commitment to what she does at Huntington University.

"Dr. Steury has shown a remarkable commitment to her colleagues, her department and her students by promoting strong academics, major identity, a learning culture and student success for the education majors," he said.

Boothman was recognized by Ashley Smith, assistant director for media relations, for his assistance on multiple projects throughout the year.

"Jason has a true servant's heart and is an asset to Huntington University," she said.
