Woods, Tribolet recognized as May Peer Award recipients

Huntington, Ind.-The Huntington University Peer Award recipients for May were Sharon Woods, director of financial aid, and Polly Tribolet, accounts payable clerk.

The Peer Award, which began in 2003, promotes acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts of Huntington University faculty and staff members. Award winners are chosen and recognized each month by fellow peers.

Woods was recognized by Amy Wilson, controller/director of financial services, who called Woods an "outstanding co-worker and a true friend." Woods has been with the university for 23 years.

"She exemplifies Christ Centeredness in both her work and personal life. She always wears a smile and she has taught me to stay positive in all situations, remaining focused on God and his plan," Wilson said.

Tribolet was recognized by Lori Garde, graduate studies program coordinator, for being reliable in her position and being a tremendous help to those around her.

"Polly always has a smile on her face and in her voice. She never seems to get upset and is always willing to help. When I have forgotten to make a copy of a check request, she is more than willing to look the information up, and help getting payments tracked down, even if it means extra work. She has made my job much easier and I know I can always rely on her help," Garde said.

Tribolet has been with the university for 12 years.
