Alumna to give presentation about nonlinear optics

Huntington, Ind.-Victoria Hall, a 2005 Huntington University alumna with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a minor in physics, will give a presentation titled "Nonlinear Optics as a Method for Probing Order in Biological Systems." The event will take place at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall as part of the Gerald D. Smith Lecture Series in the Natural and Mathematical Sciences.

As part of her presentation, she also will discuss life as a graduate student in the sciences.

Hall is a Ph.D. candidate in the Chemistry Department at Purdue University and currently works in the research group of Dr. Garth Simpson at Purdue.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
