Earthquake rattles HU campus, no damages or injuries

Huntington, Ind. - An earthquake in north central Indiana sent tremors through Indianapolis, Huntington and Fort Wayne this morning at 7:55 a.m. Maintenance crews are checking over the campus, but there have been no reports of damage or injuries at this time. Observers say the event was noticeable, but mild.

Huntington University is observing the Christmas holiday this week. There were relatively few people on campus this morning.

Originally estimated at a magnitude of 4.2, the quake was later downgraded to 3.8 on the Richter Scale.
