EXCEL hosts faculty development experience

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's EXCEL Adult Degree Programs recently had more than 40 full-time and adjunct faculty present for an EXCEL faculty development experience. Held on two dates to allow greater participation, those who attended received an update on the EXCEL program as well as workshops featuring Dr. Steve Holtrop and Dr. Terrell Peace.
Holtrop presented on faith integration and EXCEL. He shared about the recent meetings which were conducted by a task force composed of full-time and adjunct faculty to examine what faith integration should look like in adult degree programs.

Peace's workshop was on creative questioning. He led those present in discussions about classroom teaching techniques based on using creative questions. This faculty development was the first of a series of workshops which will be conducted annually to enhance faculty preparedness and instructional quality.
