Fly-tying demonstration at Thornhill

Huntington, Ind. "Huntington College's Thornhill Nature Preserve will host a free, public demonstration of the art of fly tying on Thursday, January 25 at 7 p.m. Jerry Drake, a representative of the Fort Wayne Federation of Flyfishers, will explain how to create flies for bass, bluegill, crappie, and other warm-water species common in our area. Huntington College operates Thornhill Nature Preserve for the educational enrichment of its own students and the regional community. The 77-acre property is located eight miles north of Huntington, Indiana, and includes a variety of wildlife habitats. Thornhill provides diverse outdoor educational opportunities through the Reiff Nature Center, MindScape Program, MindScape Academy, community events, and the Challenge Education Course.
