Forester Lecture to emphasize the rise of the liberal arts

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Huntington University's Forester Lecture Series welcomes Dr. David Lyle Jeffrey at 7 p.m. Sept. 17. The first lecture of the year will embark upon "Scripture in the Monastic Studium and the Rise of the Liberal Arts."

The lectures are free and open to the public.

Jeffrey is the distinguished professor of literature at Baylor University. He is also a humanities distinguished senior fellow and director of manuscript research in scripture and tradition.

The Forester Lecture Series is designed to bring interesting persons and topics to the attention of students and the regional community.
