Grad begins MCC assignment in Washington, D.C.

AKRON, Pa. - Christina Warner of Bloomington, Ind., has begun a two-year assignment with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in its Washington, D.C., office as a legislative assistant. Warner, who holds a bachelor's degree in religion from Huntington University, participated in a fall orientation of 50 workers at MCC offices in Akron.
MCC, a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches, shares God's love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC staff usually work in partnership with local churches and community organizations. Each year about 300 people begin MCC assignments. Currently, there are 1,165 MCC workers in 50 countries.
