HU, Cinema Center to offer summer film camp

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Huntington University and the Cinema Center are partnering to offer the Summit City Film & Animation Academy this summer to high school students.

The camp will run from July 8-12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the Cinema Center, 437 E. Berry St., in downtown Fort Wayne.

This camp is designed to give students hands-on experience with real-world equipment as well as to receive individualized assistance from professionals who are currently working in the field.

At the end of the week, students will create their own films or short animation that will be viewed at Huntington University's Fandana Film Festival on Aug. 2-3. The student's films or animations will also be played at the Three Rivers Festival in Fort Wayne this July.

The deadline to register for this camp is June 24. The cost is $300 per student. This price includes a daily lunch.
