In recognizing Holmes and Leatherman, Gressley said, "Bob and Carl are two of the most loyal and dependable employees on this campus. Their love of Huntington University and our values is very evident in their daily work tasks. Their daily interaction with students and customers of the Merillat Complex is very valuable to our campus, and everyone would greatly miss their services. They have worked very unselfishly for many years while continuing to do their respective jobs while being great ambassadors for our institution."

Beth Felker Jones, assistant professor of Bible and religion, passed the Peer Award to Twyla Lee. Lee is associate professor of social work and director of social work education and has been with Huntington University for two years.

In recognizing Lee, Felker Jones wrote, "Twyla Lee is a wonderful colleague, teacher and asset to the university. In her time at Huntington University, she has done an incredible amount of work to put together the documentation and accreditation for the new social work program. She cares deeply about her students, and sees them as whole people with unique gifts and stories while challenging them to see life from a variety of perspectives. While giving so much energy to her students and the development of her program, she always takes time to care about her colleagues through conversation and even through bringing cake. She is a great asset to the community in both professional and personal capacities."
