Professional Programs selects free iPad Mini winner

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Professional Programs named Cheryl Jones the winner of the free iPad Mini giveaway. Jones was selected out of all students in the Professional Program's annual giveaway.

Jones, who is employed at Fort Wayne Metals, is currently majoring in organizational management. She will graduate in 2015 with her associate degree and plans to continue on to get her bachelor's.

Kristi Welker, professional programs admissions counselor for online and Huntington programs, described Jones as a loyal and hard worker.

"She has worked her way up at Fort Wayne Metals without a degree thus far," Welker said. "Her motivation for going back to school stemmed from encouragement from her kids and to set a good example for them. She wants them to pursue higher education after graduation, so she wants to do the same."

Jones said she works in the quality department as the inspection trainer.
"I am responsible for training all new inspectors at FWM," Jones said. "I also teach some of our inspection level 1 and level 2 classes as well as surface training classes for all of FWM."

Jones was excited when she found out she won the iPad.

"I could never afford to buy one for myself, so it was a blessing," Jones said. "I plan on using it for personal use, banking, and school work which will free up my home computer for my kids to use more often."
