Social work graduates welcomed into field with commissioning service

Huntington University's social work department formally welcomed its eight graduating seniors into the profession with a special commissioning service this morning, May 17.

"We are honored today to have these eight individuals … to join those who have gone before them in entering the field of Christian service through social work," said Dr. Carla MacDonald, assistant professor of social work.

Those graduating seniors are:

  • Gina Boucouras of Columbus, Ohio
  • Meagan Dean of Lombard, Ill.
  • Samantha Dunn of Paoli, Ind.
  • Erica Isenberg of Fort Wayne, Ind.
  • Minkailu Mambu of Freetown, Sierra Leone
  • Stephanie Mihich of Valparaiso, Ind.
  • Jessica Perry of Jefferson, Mo.
  • Giuliana Ruiz-Moreno of Chesterton, Ind.
