Students, faculty to attend national education conference

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Five students and two faculty members from Huntington University's Omega Psi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, will be attending the national Kappa Delta Pi Biennial Convocation in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 24-26.

Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi is a dynamic learning community that recognizes and enhances growth in scholars and leaders.

The conference, themed "Connecting in a Big Way," will feature UNESCO's Dr. Charles Hopkins and space science educator Dr. Jeff Goldstein. There are also several educational workshops available for attendees to participate in.

They will be accompanied by chapter counselor and education department chairman Dr. Terrell Peace and Dr. Susie Boyer, assistant professor of education.

Each will share what was learned at the conference during Omega Psi's monthly meetings throughout the remainder of the year.
