Welcome the new year naturally at Thornhill Nature Preserve

Huntington, Ind. "Thornhill Nature Preserve will start the New Year with free activities for the community. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 8 and Friday, January 11, to come enjoy nature presentations for all ages.

Laura Edmonds of Soarin' Hawk will come on Tuesday, January 8, from 7-8:30 p.m. She will speak on The Natural History of Owls. Edmond will bring several live owls and a live hawk for her presentation. Don't miss this free, fun learning experience. Come out and support Indiana's incredible wildlife! Refreshments will be provided. (If you are a teacher you could suggest to your students to come to this event for extra credit.)

On Friday, January 11, from 7-9 p.m., Thornhill Nature Preserve will host "An HC Star Party." Telescopes will be provided for stargazing and refreshments will be served. The nature trails will be lighted for night walks. Donations will be accepted.
