Wickersham receives CNWS award

HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Centre for Non-Western Studies honored Andrew Wickersham for the Best Non-Western Paper of 2013-14.

Wickersham, a senior history major from Huntington, Ind., received the award for his paper titled, "An Enigma to the West: The Political Ideology of Cambodia's Norodom Sihanouk (1945-1970)."

"We had a good number of worthy submissions this year, and more submissions overall from last year so Andrew's accomplishment is all the more impressive," said Dr. John Noble, for the Centre for Non-Western Studies.

The award includes the presentation of Wickersham's name on the Best Non-Western Paper plaque, a modest cash prize and a colloquium next spring dedicated to the subject of his paper.

Wickersham was honored earlier this year by the Huntington University history department with the 2014 Barlow Book Award.
