HU alum to speak about career with animal health company April 13

HUNTINGTON, Ind. Kari Riggs of Elanco Animal Health, A Division of Eli Lilly and Company, will give a talk on her career as a consultant and drug disposition and target animal safety leader at 4 p.m. April 13 in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall at Huntington University. The seminar is part of the Gerald D. Smith Lecture Series in the Natural and Mathematical Sciences, and is free and open to the public.

Riggs, who completed a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Huntington in 2001, has been working in an industry associated with drug development for more than a decade, and currently travels the world as a consultant.

During the lecture, she will speak about how her work fits into the larger picture of drug development for companion animal (dog or cat) products.
