HU music department to present annual Concerto Concert

HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Huntington University Music Department will present the annual Concerto Concert at 7:30 p.m. April 25 in the Zurcher Auditorium in the Merillat Centre for the Arts on campus. Six students will perform.

Performers include:

Senior soprano Brittany Blazier, a choral education major from Ossian, Ind., will be singing "Mi Chiamano Mimi" and "Donde Lieta" from La Bohéme by Puccini.

Senior flautist Johanna Caron, an instrumental education major of Warsaw, Ind., will be performing "Fantasie Pastorale Hongroise" by Albert Franz Doppler.

Sophomore bass Osvaldo Gil, a music business major from Indianapolis, Ind., will be singing "Se vuol ballar," "Non più andrai," and "Aprite un po' quegL' occhi" from Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart.

Freshman pianist James Knapp, an instrumental education major from North Hollywood, Calif., will be performing "Piano concerto No. 2 in G, Op. 22" by Saint-Saens.

Junior violinist YeRi Lee, a music business major from Seoul, South Korea, will be performing "Concerto No. 4 in D major" by Mozart.

Senior tenor Jacob Smith, a choral education major from Berne, Ind., will be singing "Questa quella," "Parmi veder le lagrime," and "La donna è mobile" from Rigoletto by Verdi.
