HU president presents thoughts on change at Leadership Luncheon

HUNTINGTON, Ind.- Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of Huntington University, will discuss "Leading Change" at the April 27 Leadership Luncheon on campus. This luncheon will explore effective ways to help an organization and its employees to willingly implement changes. Change theorists will be cited, and several books will be recommended.
"Change is constant," Dowden said. "A volatile national economy, evolving cultural norms, new governmental rules and regulations and shifting consumer preferences have forced change on businesses and organizations. No one is exempt."
Dowden has served as president of Huntington University since 1991. A recognized leader in Christ-centered higher education, he has also served as chairman of the Board of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
The luncheon, sponsored by the Huntington University Center for Leadership, will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The cost is $10 per person - a reduced price this year. The luncheon is open to the public.
