‘Messiah’ rehearsals set to begin at Huntington University

HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Huntington University Concert Choir together with the Huntington University Orchestra invite you to join them as rehearsals begin for the 59th annual production of Handel's "Messiah." The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntington.

Rehearsals will be from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre in the lower level of the Merillat Centre for the Arts on the Huntington University campus. Rehearsal dates are as follows: Oct. 21 and 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25 and Dec. 2. A dress rehearsal will take place from 1:30-4 p.m. on Dec. 7 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

These rehearsals are open to the public. Interested participants should note that the Watkins Shaw (Novello) score will be used. If you need to acquire a score, they will be available for purchase at the first rehearsal for $9 apiece.

Dress for the performance is black dresses for ladies and dark suit, dark tie and white shirt for men.
