HUNTINGTON, Ind. The Huntington University Peer Award recipients for October are Susan Rahn, secretary for health services, and Jodi Fiedler, administrative assistant to the dean of Christian faith and life.

The Peer Award, which began in 2003, promotes acknowledgment and recognition of the outstanding efforts of Huntington University faculty and staff members. Award winners are chosen and recognized each month by fellow peers.

Rahn was recognized by Margaret Pasko, administrative assistant to the vice president for Student Life, because of her love and concern for the students.
"I appreciate her willingness to go the extra mile. From helping students traverse the insurance maze to following up with them when they have been ill, she shows Christ's love in action," Pasko said.

Fiedler was recognized by Dr. Luke Fetters, associate professor of ministry and missions, because of her ongoing service to the university.

"Jodi serves the students and staff of Huntington University in many unseen ways. She organizes volunteers, manages ever-shifting schedules, encourages students to live up to their chapel commitments and handles countless details for speakers and other guests on campus. In my 15 years on campus working with her on numerous projects, I've never once seen her flustered. She has the ultimate can-do spirit," Fetters said.
