2025-2026 Performing Arts Season

October 1-4, 2025 (Studio Theatre)

Junie B. Jones

Get ready for a delightful family night out with the Huntington University Performing Arts Department's production of Junie B. Jones, the Musical, playing October 1-3 at 6:00 p.m. and October 4 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Merillat Centre for the Arts Studio Theatre. Created by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, the team that brought you Dear Edwina, comes Junie B. Jones, The Musical – a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, brought to life in a genuinely comical (and not strictly-for-kids) musical developed by TheatreworksUSA. It's Junie B.'s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie's friend, Lucille, doesn't want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting. Perfect for kids and fans of the famous book series, this original musical promises fun-filled entertainment that will have everyone smiling from start to finish. Don’t miss your chance to experience this musical—tickets are available now at purplepass.com/huntingtonuniversity or by calling the HU box office at 260-359-4261.

Educational matinee performances for public, private, and homeschool students are on October 1 & 2 at 10:00am. Tickets must be reserved in advance by contacting the box office.
