Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is a complex field that requires a strong understanding of computer science, networking, and security principles. Completing a cyber security minor from HU can make a real difference in the world by helping protect organizations and individuals from cyber-attacks.
Forensic Science
If you’re considering pursuing a career in criminal justice or crime labs, studying forensic science is a strategic and solid choice of study. A forensic scientist is a critical component in upholding the law, as scientists can help lawyers, juries, and judges understand test results that may contribute to evidence discovery. As a future forensic scientist, you will perform on-site analysis, gather evidence, and use in-lab and field experience to assist and back your findings.
Refugee Studies
This multidisciplinary minor combines courses in political science, development studies, international relations, human geography, peace studies, and sociology to form a wide knowledge base. The foundation provides enhanced opportunities for students who have an interest in humanitarian and societal issues.
Sociology
Sociology is the study of human interactions. At Huntington University, we’ll help you understand the sociological concepts that influence fields as diverse as law enforcement and gerontology.
Urban Studies
Pursuing an Urban Studies minor in addition to your major at Huntington University equips you with a strong foundation of knowledge on cities and the issues they face. It pairs well with a major in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Social Work, and other programs. There is freedom to choose from a wide range of courses in order to tailor the minor to your own specific interest. This interdisciplinary minor complements a career in a variety of fields and provides the opportunity to learn from several departments.
