Huntington University Foundation
Founded in 1938, the Huntington University Foundation exists to support the mission of the University by promoting education and fostering a synergistic relationship between the University and the Huntington County community and surrounding area.
This is accomplished through:
- Generation of financial resources
- Raising awareness of the University
- Assisting in the recruitment of students from the County
- Enhancing the educational experience of students
- Facilitating opportunities for students to remain in the area after graduation
- Service to the University and community
Local Scholarship Fund Drive
For more than 80 years, the Huntington University Foundation has raised funds to support a wide variety of initiatives, including scholarships for Huntington County students. With enrollment surpassing 1,000, nearly 15% of students are from Huntington County.
Local students have directly benefited from the tax-deductible gifts of local businesses and citizens to the Huntington University Foundation. In addition, such gifts qualify donors for a special Indiana State income tax credit.
Huntington University Foundation Grant
Cash or other appreciated assets may be given to the Huntington University Foundation Grant. Scholarships created from this fund are awarded only to residents of Huntington County. The scholarship, once awarded, can follow the recipient all fours years at Huntington University. Currently, 40 Huntington County residents receive $1,500 – $2,500 each from this restricted fund.
